Humanities

The Humanities Faculty comprises Geography, History and Religious Studies (RS). Personal, Social, Health and Citizenship Education and Careers Education are also taught by members of the faculty.

Each Humanities subject remains a distinct area of the curriculum.

Within lessons students in each of the subject areas are challenged to develop their knowledge and understanding of the world they live in, how things have come to be and their own roles and beliefs within this world.

At Key Stage 3, each student completes two homework projects in each year for Geography, History and RS. These projects in particular challenge students to both extend their learning and develop their creativity.

At Key Stage 4, all students study RS, with emphasis on the Christian faith. Geography and History are both popular optional subjects.
