MANOR CE ACADEMY IS PART OF

Performing Arts

Manor CE Academy has always placed performing arts at the heart of all that we do. The drama, music and dance departments work closely together as a faculty in order to bring out the very best in all of our students. We aim to inspire creativity, confidence, teamwork and a pride in performance.

In lesson times in Years 7 and 8, students will enjoy a rich and varied curriculum, building key skills such as problem solving and leadership. The emphasis is on learning through practical work in a safe and structured environment.

In Years 9, 10 and 11 they can opt for a range of GCSEs and a BTEC in Performing Arts. The faculty prides itself on its impressive examination results, but never loses sight of the importance of developing an individual’s other key qualities.

There are also a plethora of extra-curricular activities such as concerts, dance performances, plays, musicals and clubs. We strive to ensure all of these performances are of the highest standard but also make sure every student that wants to be involved feels valued and welcome.

Key Stage 4 courses:

Drama AQA 8261

Music AQA 8271

Dance AQA 8236
